Bonnie Screams - Bonnie Springs Ranch Turns Scary During Halloween Season
Page 1 :: [Last: Page 2]
With the
advent of Halloween season, haunted houses become popular entertainment, and
what better place to have a haunted house than a place that is rumored to be
haunted itself? Bonnie Springs Ranch was
built on top of an old Spanish trail that was a stopover for settlers heading West
to make their fortunes in California on a trail that was fraught with peril,
disease and Indian attacks.
Travellers
endured physical, mental and emotional strife, which gives energy to the
supernatural, according to Bonnie Springs visitors and employees. Recent
visitors and investigators have reported hearing voices, odd feelings and one
woman even left with large scratches down her back. One man, who has worked at
the ranch for 30 years, claims to have seen the merry-go-round on the
playground spinning on its own and when he approached it, the merry-go-round
suddenly came to a dead stop.
Bonnie
Springs changes its name to Bonnie Screams to host its annual haunted houses,
which are located throughout the Old West ghost town. This year boasts not only the haunted
attractions, but a magic show by the popular Las Vegas magician, Steven Best,
and his lovely assistant Cassandra and an intensely hot fire-blowing show by
the group Brotherhood of Flame.
The haunted
events start upon parking your car and your ride to the town on its haunted
train, where you are greeted by the station master who informs you what to
expect once you pass through the gates. The spooky music plays at the entrance
and there are several ghouls that will scare you throughout your walk to the
haunted houses. They have added a
character this week that was not here last week: Jason Voorhees. The man behind
the hockey mask plays his role perfectly and is one of the biggest humans ever
seen! He moves through the park scaring everyone that gets near him and makes
people uncomfortable with the way that he moves and steadfastly stands and
stares at people.
There are three
haunts located in the park and a trail of doom that you must pass through to
get back to your vehicle. The Maze of Mayhem features a group of clowns that
were tragically killed while performing for the residents of Bonnie Springs in
1812. On the anniversary of their deaths, there were reports of scary events
that reoccur in the maze and now people must tour through the maze in order to
find out what those events might be.
The ghost
of Dr. Sprinkle welcomes people to tour his Wicked Wax Museum, a museum he
perished in when he was locked in by pranksters and suffocated. When Halloween
nears, so does Dr. Sprinkle; he carries a lantern and leads people through his
museum of which the rumors say only one out of ten make it through. Page 1 :: [Last: Page 2]
